My school has started from this week, we had a first day trip and explored Israel little bit so that I will put up some of the pictures as we went many places.
This is the picture of Wildness located between Jerusalem and Dead Sea.
This place is known as where Jesus was tempted and had fast for 40days.
I couldn't imagine how we can survive in such a place.
It was so hot, was more than 40 degree, so dry and so dazzle.
You know, we sometime say about this event written on Bible.
I am convinced it is more harder than we think to be here.
My heart was moved that I am standing where Jesus was.
Matthew 4-.
'When Jesus was led out into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit to be tempted there by the Devil. For forty days and forty nights he ate nothing and became very hungry. Then the Devil came and said to him, ''If you are the Son of God, change these stone into loaves of bread.'' But Jesus told him, ''No! The Scriptures say, 'People need more than bread for their life: they must feed on every word of God.'.....
I got inspiration in devotion time this morning from above passage.
When I am
physically week, I tend to get tempted by thinking bad thought....
Jesus was same. When he was week, Devil showed up and tempted him.
But this is important how he avoided is he used the word of God.
so we
gatta have the word of God in our heart and make them ready to put in the situation of temptation. And ask God to help me!
His word is really powerful that helps us to overcome our temptation!!
今週から学校が始まりました。
クラスのみんなと一緒に一日旅行に出かけました。
いろんなところに出かけたのでこれからそれをアップしていくね。
まず最初に荒野に出かけました。
ここは聖書の中で、イエスキリストが40日40夜断食して、悪魔に誘惑を受けたところです。
僕は実際にここに立つまで、そのハードさがわかりませんでした。
断食も辛いけど、この荒野にいることの方がもっと辛そうです。
40度以上で、とても暑く、乾燥していました。
イエス様が荒野で誘惑を受けた時の様子が、新約聖書マタイの4章に書いてあります。
ぜひ読んで見てください。
僕はその場所にいるのでとても興奮しました。
僕も体が弱っている時、誘惑に弱くなっていることに気づきます。
悪いことやマイナスのことを考えたりします。
イエス様も同じようでした。
肉体的に極限的に追い込まれた時に、悪魔が現れたことは印象的です。
サタン「この石をパンに変えてみよ。」
イエス様「人はパンだけで生きるものではなく、神の言葉によって生きるのである。」
イエス様の応答は旧約聖書から取られたものでした。
3度誘惑が続きましたが、毎回イエス様は(旧約)聖書からの引用の言葉によって打ち勝たれました。
僕たちも心に誘惑が来た時、罪を犯しそうな時、
いつも聖書の言葉を思い起こす必要があります。
そしてそれを武器にして、サタンの思い(言葉)に応答することが出来ます。
そのためには、いつも心に神の言葉(聖書)が入っていなければなりません。
人が誘惑に勝てたら、僕たちの人生は罪からかなり楽になれますね。
ルターの言葉『鳥が頭上を飛ぶことは防げないが、頭上に巣を作ることは防ぐことが出来る。』

Bedouins also live in the wildness. アラブ系ベトゥインが住んでいました。古来の生活を続けながら、貧しい生活をしています。おみやげを売っていました。

We could see the view of edge of wildness from our bus on the way to Dead sea as we were going down the Sea level.
左のほうに荒野の端っこが見えると思います。エルサレムから死海に向けてどんどん海抜を降っていくので荒野の様子が見ることが出来ました。
Today (29th of Sep) is Jewish New Year.
